- AseraCare Executive Appointed to Community Health Accreditation Program’s Board of Review

PLANO, Texas, Jan. 12, 2012 — AseraCare has
been recognized for quality hospice care and skilled home
healthcare by the Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP).
Pam Burford, Director of Clinical Operations, has been appointed by
the CHAP Board of Directors to a three-year term on the CHAP Board
of Review (BOR). The board is composed of nine members who are
selected from organizations that have achieved CHAP accreditation
with no or minimal deficiencies over at least two accreditation
cycles.

DALLAS, March 10, 2011 — Governor Rick Perry
today joined with Golden Living executives in formally announcing
the relocation of the healthcare company’s headquarters from Fort
Smith, Ark., to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Starting in April,
Golden Living will begin the process of creating more than 100 jobs
in the City of Plano through a combination of relocating senior
executives from their current offices in seven states and the
District of Columbia along with hiring new staff locally.

has established a new, in-house consulting pharmacy company that
will focus on improving medication safety and patient outcomes.
Golden Clinical Rx Services is based on an innovative clinical
pharmacist model that will make certified geriatric pharmacists
(CGPs) part of the interdisciplinary clinical teams that care for
Golden LivingCenter patients and will leverage technology to
improve patient outcomes.

K.T. Anders wrote about what she knew.
Once an actress, Anders started writing when she started aging
out of roles. One topic she focused on was health care.
“Her father died pretty young. She had seen her mother through
the hospice experience and was a primary care giver,” said Anders’
husband John Ross, who resides in Abingdon, Va. “She was attuned to
it.”
